PRICE OF CEMETRY

My grandma has just passed away on 6th April 2008. It was a very sad day for me as my grandma was very close to me.

Two days before, a father-in-law of a friend had also passed away. I just asked him how things going in their way - he told me that in Buddhist style - if they burned the corpse, they will keep it in a porceline and the whole process will cost you around RM15K. Let say you decide not to burn but to bury, a burial plot will cost you more approximately RM50K. It was really something shocking me and very new to me.

No wonder why our Chinese friends (Buddhist in Malaysia are mainly Chinese) a so hardworking and would dedicated their life for their business and career. I may be wrong, should someone wanted to correct me or add more info, you are welcome.

By the way, the whole cost of my grandma funeral took less than RM1K, including transportation, burial plot, administration etc.

May ALlah blessed my grandma and place him in the places where those believers who are solehin were placed. AMIN.
